ShadowMaster™ Pro Infrared Monocular

The ShadowMaster™ Pro Infrared Monocular is one of the best-infrared devices that money can buy. It can see in complete darkness, has an effective range of 300 meters (980~ ft), and can even see through privacy glass.

This device can be used for a number of applications but is most commonly used for nature observation, hiking, security, photography, wildlife surveillance, stargazing, construction, and virtually any form of outdoor recreation.

This model comes with a more powerful infrared bulb, a fully multicoated optical lens, and digital crosshairs that make it easy to hone in on a target from a distance. It also contains an entire media suite which makes it easy to record video, take pictures, and play it back locally in high-definition 1920x1080 resolution.

It works using near-infrared technology. Conventional camera sensors are tuned for visible parts of the light spectrum. Near-infrared devices, like the Pilot Pro, are optimized for approximately 850nm which is slightly above the visible light spectrum.

Because the ShadowMaster™ Pro operates in the infrared (IR) range, and not in the ultraviolet (UV) range, this means that the Pilot Pro is able to penetrate most privacy materials like privacy glass and tinted films.

The adjustable illuminator on the front of the device provides the illumination necessary for the device to see the surrounding environment. The sensor captures the reflected light, constructs a monochromatic image, and then delivers it to the 1.5" display.
